I took these shots on a Sunday night of a passing storm. It was
showing some pretty incredible cloud-to-ground lightning--right up until I
grabbed my camera and got in my car to an open field to take some shots.
As soon as I had the camera setup, the storm seemed to die. I didn't get
many good pictures. These were taken over a period of about 20 minutes
with 200 speed film, approximately 20-25 second exposures.

The "reddish grass" in the forefront is apparently the
ambient light from the streetlights. I'll have to remember to
watch more carefully for that next time. |
